Role Reversal

Seeing was believing.  The likes of Aaron Rodgers and Charles Woodson, and, as a matter of fact, all of the starters getting the bulk of their work serving on the scout teams.  That was the case at today's practice and if there was any doubt about who's going to be playing the far majority of the snaps vs. K.C., it's officially eliminated.  The Chiefs game will be about backups and roster spots.

Also of note:

The dropsies.  Jermichael Finley, Tori Gurley, Jarrett Boykin, and Donald Driver all had drops today.  Must have been contagious because Morgan Burnett even dropped an interception.  Finley actually couldn't come down with a couple of balls that would have gone down as "tough" catches.  But that's the thing with a guy with his kind of talent.  To take his game where he wants to take it, those are the kinds of catches he has to make, and can make.

The lighter side.  Aaron Rodgers' weekly session of Meet the Press ended early when John Kuhn caught him with a shaving cream facial.  Earlier, Greg Jennings took a snap as an offensive lineman during a blocking drill.  He may want to keep his day job at wide receiver.

Flag happy.  A no-huddle period got off to an extremely slow start with multiple pre-snap penalties.  And they came with the starters on the field.

Faces in the Crowd.  Bucks 1st round draft pick John Henson attended today's practice as did the Packers all-time leading rusher, Ahman Green.  He looks great, years younger.  Said it's because his body isn't getting crunched on a regular basis any more.

Graham Harrell.  Big game coming up for him and he looked the part on a sideline throw to Diondre Borel.  Threw it before the break, right on the money.

Aaron Rodgers.  Play of the Day was a tracer he threw to James Jones over the middle during a third down blitz drill.

Where are they now?  Haven't seen much from Vic So'oto or Brad Jones this camp.  Opportunity may be knocking Thursday Night.  Both got plenty of defensive reps today.  Jones, in particular, also has special teams ability working in his favor.

Coming attractions.  The last preseason practice is scheduled for tomorrow, 11 AM.
