About Steve

Thanks for stopping by nbc26.com. A special thanks for those who get up early every weekday morning for NBC 26 Today. I am having fun bringing the weather to Northeast Wisconsin bright and early Monday through Friday.

My first week on the job at NBC 26 was during the Tornado outbreak of June 23, 2004. It really opened my eyes to just how important weather is to the lives of the citizens of Northeast Wisconsin.

I am very proud to be associated with such an excellent weather team.
The biggest thrill in my career came on Valentines Day of 2006, when I learned I received my AMS seal of Approval.

In my spare time I enjoy working out, rollerblading, running or at least walking on the Fox River Trail. As a big eater and self proclaimed chef, I love to stir up trouble in the kitchen. Before I got my break in television, I spent my early years as a tour guide at Graceland in Memphis. I was even a blackjack dealer at one time.

I started out in television as weekend weather anchor and news reporter for KXMB, Bismarck, North Dakota. I also worked as a weekend weather and morning live reporter for KIVI, the Journal Broadcast Station in Boise, Idaho. My first time on the air was when I did morning news cut ins at KATN 2 in Fairbanks, Alaska. I promise, I have burned those tapes.
