Ok, Scoop really isn't a hound. But he's become a part of the
NBC26 family. Scoop was adopted from a puppy mill during an
NBC26 Hidden Camera Investigation.
When he arrived, Scoop was in bad shape. We took him to a
veterinarian to find he had several ailments including conjunctivitis,
colitis and even a herniated bellybutton.
After surgery and lots of medicine, Scoop is doing great and even
making public appearances. Recently, he was in a doggy
fashion show and even won a prize!
Scoop's story is just one of many to come out of puppy mills across
Wisconsin. The Wisconsin State Legislature is working on new
laws to regulate the puppy mills requiring the owners to take better
care of the animals or close their doors.
You'll see Scoop on TV as he helps our Meteorologists do the weather
from the NBC26 Precision Forecast Center. And he's available to
make public appearances at your school or public event. Just
