About
Mitch
You
can see Mitch anchoring NBC 26 weekends. This is Mitch's
second tour of duty at NBC 26. Mitch worked at NBC 26 in
2001, but if you blinked you missed him. Mitch is excited to
be back in Green
Bay and plans to stay longer this
time around.
The
last four years Mitch anchored weekends in Madison at
WKOW. During his time there Mitch biked and in four Wisconsin AIDS Rides. He ended
up raising more than $12,000 for services to help people living with
the disease. Each year, Mitch reported along the ride telling
the stories of the people who commit their lives to the
cause. Mitch also had a regular route delivering Meals On
Wheels and became a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. His
volunteering didn't end there. During his time spent at the
Dane County Humane Society he ended up adopting a dog named Jonesie.
Mitch
is originally from Kansas,
but believes he has lived in more cities in Wisconsin than
people who grew up in the state. In 1998, he interned in Milwaukee, in 2000 he moved to
Rhinelander, then to Green Bay,
followed by a stint in Wausau
at WAOW which took him to Madison in 2003.
Mitch
is ready to get involved in the Green Bay
community by volunteering and bringing
you the news that affects you. If there is an issue or a
story you would like Mitch to look into email him at mweber@nbc26.com
