Brie Groves joined NBC26 as the morning anchor in September of 2013. Brie previously worked as an anchor and reporter at KTTC-TV in Rochester, MN where she was recognized for her award winning spot news coverage.
Brie is originally from a small farm town in Northeastern Colorado. She found her passion for journalism at a young age and pursued a degree for it at Colorado State University. During her time at CSU, Brie served as anchor and reporter for the school’s award-winning newscast, CTV. That was also the time Brie got her big break, chasing down a story that gained national attention. Some of you may remember the Heene family and their balloon boy hoax.
Since then she says her favorite stories aren't necessarily the ones everyone else goes after, but the "hidden gems" that truly make a difference in people's lives.
Brie has ties to northeast Wisconsin and is learning what it truly means to be a Packers fan. She enjoys the Wisconsin atmosphere and the genuine people that come along with it.
When she's not working Brie enjoys spending time with family, socializing, being outdoors, playing volleyball and all around staying active.
