Kasey Hott joined the NBC26 team as an Anchor/Videojournalist in December 2011 -- and yes, that's her real last name! :)
She comes to Green Bay from Charlottesville, Virginia, where she spent two years as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter for NBC29. There, she reported on the east coast earthquake that shook central Virginia, the murder of UVA lacrosse player Yeardley Love, as well as the disappearance of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington.
Kasey grew up in wild, wonderful West Virginia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from West Virginia University. During her time at WVU, Kasey served as anchor and reporter for the school’s award-winning newscast, WVU News. She spent her summers interning for various local and national news networks, including Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network in both New York City and Washington, DC. In 2009, Kasey was chosen as the ABC News on Campus Roving Reporter of the Year and was flown to New York City to meet one of her role models, Diane Sawyer.
When she’s not tracking down the next big story, Kasey loves to sing, go to the theatre, travel and spend time with friends. She’s new to the area, but is excited to call Titletown home! If you have a story idea for Kasey (or just want to say hi!), feel free to e-mail her at email@example.com.
