About Bob
Bob Healey has been a part of the NBC26 news operation since June of 2001. He began as a weekend anchor and in January of 2003 was elevated to the 6 and 10 P.M. anchor chair. A Missouri native, Bob was a top high school athlete in St. Louis. He was the number one draft pick of the California Angels and spent four years as a pitcher in their farm system.
Bob is a graduate of The University of Missouri-St. Louis and got his start as a sportscaster. With early stops in Quincy, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa Bob eventually became the voice of the University of Iowa football and basketball teams on the state-wide Iowa Television Network.
Bob eventually found his way to news and has never looked back. "I finally realized I could tell a great story and it didn't have to have a football or basketball in it." Working in Wisconsin Bob's covered visiting presidents and homecoming heroes and has met quite a few interesting characters along the way.
In his spare time Bob is an avid runner, enjoys skiing the great slopes of Wisconsin and exploring the small towns and communities in the Badger state.
