Shara Taylor joined NBC26 in April 2017 as a reporter. She came to Green Bay from New York City, where she received her masters at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
She also received a masters in Sport Management from Old Dominion University and a bachelors degree in Biology from Hampton University.
Shara worked as a reporter in both Wyoming and Illinois covering politics, legislation, health, sports feature stories, court cases, the Wind River Reservation, environmental concerns, and breaking news.
Shara was raised in Delaware and has lived and worked along the east coast in Hampton, Norfolk, Miami, Philadelphia, and New York.
Shara enjoys photography and videography and published her first children’s book, The Wonders of the Galapagos Islands, in 2005.
In her free time, Shara loves traveling and participating in sports, outdoor activities like skiing and swimming, and community service. She competed in the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in 2010 to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She also enjoys reading, acting, and yoga.
