Brooke Hafs started her career at NBC26 in 2012 as an intern before working her way up to the position of NBC26 Today reporter and fill-in anchor.
Brooke was born and raised in Denmark, Wisconsin, just 20 minutes from Green Bay. She is a UW-Green Bay graduate and is proud to have started out her career in her hometown market.
Naturally, Brooke grew up in a Packers loving home, in a family of deer hunters and environmentalists.
Brooke and her husband Shaun have three children. Her husband proposed to her live on NBC26 Today.
Favorite thing about Northeast Wisconsin: It's home! I love being 5 minutes away from my mom and 10 minutes away from my mother-in-law. With 3 small children at home, I am so lucky to have my family so close to me. I would have a very hard time juggling a career and a family without my moms, dads, sisters and brothers. I consider myself very fortunate.
Favorite sports team: Packers...duh. Specifically, I enjoy Packers parties! My big crazy family gets together to watch the games and it's always a hoot.
Favorite movie: I can only pick one? "Breakfast at Tiffany's"...wait..."Sabrina"...actually any Audrey Hepburn movie.
Favorite vacation spot: With 3 little ones, traveling hasn't been a huge part of our lives as of late. I guess I enjoy a good stay-cation! There's nowhere I'd rather be than home with my husband and children.
Something most people don't know about me: Well everyone knows I have children because I talk about them non-stop. Finding something people don't know about me is a little trickier. I guess it's interesting that I know how to juggle and do the worm. I'm also willing to show anyone either of these talents at any time.
A cause I'm passionate about: I am really passionate about being a mother. There is nothing more important in my world than making sure my kids grow up happy and healthy. I consider myself so blessed to have 3 healthy children and an amazing husband. It breaks my heart to see others struggle with parenting and I know how hard it can be. I would do anything in my power to help a mom, dad or child in need.
Best part about my job: Protecting the public. I really feel that I have a responsibility to the people of this community to inform them of things happening around them. It is very important to me to give the most accurate and timely information to help keep people safe.
