This past summer, the wrestling show WWE arrived in Green Bay. Appearing on stage, Donald Trump, who promised the crowd something amazing, a full refund to those in attendance. "I'm putting the 'green' back in Green Bay." Trump said at the time.
Most everyone received the refund. But one Pulaski couple, Norbert and Maryann Styczynski, did not and that left them fired up. "It was like everyone else is getting money back, something's not right here. I felt like I was taken." Maryann Styczynski said.
After watching their credit card statement month, after month, the Styczynski's say no refund was there. "I should get my money back, every else did." Norbert Styczynski wrote a letter to Donald Trump but did not receive a response.
So NBC26 contacted the WWE. A spokesperson tells us the refund is real. But it didn't come from Donald Trump. It actually came from the wrestling company's owner, Vince McMahn.
Their records show everyone was refunded. But since the Styczynski's bought their tickets off another ticket holder on a website, the original ticket holder got the refund. "I feel bad about it. We got ripped off." Norbert Styczynski says.
But the WWE doe not want them to feel bad any longer. The couple will get free, front row seats at the next event in January.
NBC 26 ALSO CONTACTED THE WEBSITE.. THE COUPLE USED TO BUY THE TICKETS.
A SPOKESPERSON FOR TICKET NETWORK SAYS THEY THEY TRIED TO GET THE REFUND FROM THE ORIGINAL TICKET HOLDER.. BUT COULD NOT.
SO AS A COURTESY.. THEY GAVE THE COUPLE.. A FULL REFUND.
