Northbound Highway 41 is open once again following a deadly traffic accident on Monday night. The Brown County Sheriff's Department tells NBC26 one person died in the crash which involved a semi truck and two S-U-V's.
The accident happened around 8:47 on Northbound 41 north of Glory Road. According to deputies, a semi truck hit the rear of a Toyota Highlander which caused the S-U-V to hit a Ford Explorer traveling ahead of it. The Toyota ended up in a ditch while the semi and Ford landed in the median.
Investigators say the driver of the Toyota died as a result of the crash. The drivers of both the Ford and semi truck were not seriously injured. The Sheriff's Department has not released the names of the crash victims.
Crash scene investigators closed the Northbound lanes of 41 and re-routed traffic to Ashland Avenue until early Tuesday Morning. All lanes are now open.
