A Green Bay man is dead following a shooting incident in the Town of Scott. The Brown County Sheriff's Department says a suspect, 18 year old Maxwell Majeski was taken into custody.

The shooting happened around 10:30 Sunday night at Majeski's home located in the 3800 block of Conrad Road. Deputies tell NBC26 they responded to a shots fired call at the home and discovered the victim with two wounds to the chest.

The victim, a 29 year old, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown County Deputies tell NBC26 the victim and three other men had driven to the residence Majeski to confront him regarding an earlier incident which apparently happened last Friday.

That is when the situation turned violent. "We know that there was an altercation that occurred Friday evening, and we're still trying to ascertain what exactly that was. That was obviously what precipitated this entire incident." Says Chief Deputy John Gossage. Deputies have not released the victim's name. Majeski is expected in court on Tuesday morning to face first degree intentional homicide charges.
