With the holiday travel season fast approaching, airline passengers say they won't let flu concerns stop them from reaching their destination.

With hand sanitizer at her side Cheryle Sullivan is ready to take to the friendly skies.

"I am the kind of person that I take responsibility for myself, I don't expect other people to do it for me, I know the things I have to do and I do it."

It's hard to miss the hand sanitizer at the check in counters too...Joy Mandich travels often for business and has noticed changes in the sky as well.

"For people who have been coughing the flight attendants are generally right on them asking them do you have some Purell would you like some Purell."

With the kickoff of the holiday travel season just weeks away many travelers are concerned about making holiday travel plans...with h1n1 and the seasonal flu starting to take their toll, passengers say Mandich say they've thought twice about booking in advance.

"The thought has crossed our mind especially because we have young children, but we're of the mindset that as long as we are taking care of ourselves it's ok for us to proceed with our plans as we normally would."

At least one airline has a policy in place to put weary travelers at ease...United Airlines will waive itinerary change fees or refund tickets with a doctors note...traveler Jenni Torba thinks it should be standard.

"I think that should be required, with what's going on now it should be required people shouldn't be out money."

Sullivan says concerns over h1n1 won't keep her from catching her next flight while she tries to avoid catching the flu.

"With world travel now you can get a lot of infections on airplanes, so I am careful to keep my hands away from my face."

Good advice for in the air and on the ground.
