MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A federal agency accuses a Michigan lumber supplier of failing to stop sexual harassment at its Wisconsin sawmill.
The federal lawsuit filed Friday accuses Biewer (BEE'-wer) Wisconsin Sawmill Inc. of failing to prevent a sexually hostile work environment.
A message left with the company's sawmill in Prentice, Wis., was not immediately returned Friday.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says a Biewer supervisor repeatedly exposed himself to female employees over several years. The EEOC says the company didn't fire him until prosecutors charged him with lewd and lascivious behavior.
The EEOC seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
Parent company Biewer Lumber is headquartered in St. Clair, Mich.
